Cantina Produttori Bolzano
I bought Gewürztraminer Cantina Bolzano producers in promotion (I think around 6 euro). The production area is “Alto Adige”. The wine is at the sight indeed crystal clear, pale straw yellow with a great luster that presage a good acid component. I can not assess the consistency because after washing the glass in the dishwasher (I teach the experts who should never be done with tasting glasses) the wine fails to take hold on the walls of glass “Bormioli”. Who knows if the fault is just the appliance …
The nose is perceived as a textbook aromatic hints (I would be curious to smell the bunch of grapes just picked from the vine to compare the olfactory sense), of soft fruit and white flowers once cut. I can not call it intense and it is fairly complex. Fine and pleasant but, I repeat, not intense as I expected.
Dry, quite alcoholic and quite soft, the acidity is actually feel the visual inspection suggested. Quite persistent, and intense enough, I prepared with the freshness of youth (a 2008). It combines with dishes of foie gras, Asian dishes and seafood, gorgonzola and roquefort seasoned.
It should be served from 11 to 13 ° C.
